Robert Dean (Bobby) Brownd
Robert Dean (Bobby) Brownd, 60, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 at the Veteran's Hospital in Prescott.
Bobby was born in Williams on June 18, 1950 and grew up in Williams as well. He graduated from Williams High School in 1968.
He proudly served in the United States Army, where he served in combat during the Vietnam War. When he returned from the war, he was employed with Mountain Bell Telephone Company. Bobby then went to work on the Alaskan Pipeline with many of his friends from Williams, where he had the time of his life. Finally, in his career, he became a lineman with IBEW. He climbed power lines throughout the southwest states. Bobby was very proud of his 25-year membership in the IBEW Union.
At the time of his death, he and his wife Jeanne resided in Wenden, where they were self-employed. They spent a lot of time fishing, which was his favorite pastime.
Bobby is survived by his wife Jeanne; his son Jory S. (Ronda) Brownd; daughter Ashlee Brownd; seven grandchildren; and sisters Moné Gonzalez and Shawna Gonzalez.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Freida and Haley Gonzalez, and brother Bill Brownd.
A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Williams. Military honors will follow at the Williams Cemetery.
A reception will be held at the old Sultana Theater in celebration of Bobby's life.
