Mountain High Golf Tournament swings into action
May 21 event benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters
FLAGSTAFF - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flagstaff is hosting the Second Annual Mountain High Golf Tournament. This event will be at Aspen Valley Golf Club, on May 21. Participants will enjoy an 18-hole scramble, prizes for top finishers and a raffle. There will also be a hole-in-one contest where golfers can win a car, courtesy of Findlay Toyota.
Sign-in for participants will be at noon the day of the event, with a shotgun-start to begin the tournament at 1 p.m. Participants can also look forward to an included dinner afterwards. The cost to participate in the event is $125 per person or $500 for a four-person team. Individuals can also sponsor a tee on the course for $100 or $150 for a hole sponsorship. All sponsorships are eligible for a tax-deduction.
"We hope that our supporters in both Flagstaff and the surrounding areas will come out for this fun event and help us raise funds to benefit children in our communities," said Merk Perelstein, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flagstaff. "I know I am looking forward to enjoying the beautiful outdoors now that the weather is getting warmer."
A food drive is also being held on behalf of St. Mary's Food Bank at the tournament. Golfers are encouraged to bring at least four cans of food or any other unneeded non-perishable items they would like to donate.
