Troop No. 2 of the Williams Girl Scouts met at the Community Hall at 2 pm. Wednesday. After the business meeting, games were played and a hike was planned for the next meeting. The girls are to bring a lunch and meet at Mrs. Blanton's at 2 p.m. next Wednesday.

June 2, 1960
The First Baptist Church has notified the Williams City Council that it is opposed to the sale of wine and beer at Safeway's new store. Rev. T. J. Newbill, minister, said the church was opposed for two reasons: the place of sale was too near the church and they are opposed generally to the sale of alcohol.

June 5, 1975
Junipine Estates will hold their grand opening on June 15. In commemoration of this event a barbecue will be held with all proceeds to be given to the Williams High School band. The barbecue will be held from 12-3 p.m. with a donation of $1.50 per person. To get to Junipine Estates drive 12 miles north on Highway 64 and there you will see signs directing you to the barbecue site.
