Camp free Saturday

TUSAYAN, Ariz. - The Kaibab National Forest will join with other agencies to waive some recreation fees in honor of National Trails Day. In celebration of the great outdoors, fee-free camping will be offered at Ten-X Campground on the Tusayan Ranger District Saturday night.

The fee-free weekend is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The fee waiver does not apply to the group sites.

"We hope the public takes this opportunity to visit the Kaibab National Forest and that they enjoy their time at Ten-X Campground," said Liz Schuppert, Forest Recreation Staff Officer.

The Ten-X Campground is located two miles south of Tusayan and east of State Highway 64. All campers should check in with the host at the campground.

The goal of the fee waiver event is to invite the public to enjoy their National Forests and get outdoors. The Kaibab National Forest is joining with the National Park Service, the Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Bureau of Land Management in waiving fees on Satiurday.
