Interstate 40 remains closed

Two commercial vehicles collide

Eastbound Interstate 40 remains closed this morning following a collision involving two commercial vehicles earlier today. One of the semi trucks caught fire and also contains an unknown HAZMAT load. No serious injuries were reported.

The collision occurred at milepost 155, five miles west of Williams. I-40 is closed at Ash Fork and traffic is being rerouted onto State Route 89. Commercial vehicles will be routed back westbound and may use US 93.

It is unknown when I-40 will re-open.
