Fire of undetermined origin leveled the garage at the Robert Brinias home to the ground late Tuesday afternoon. The building was completely engulfed in flames when the fire was discovered. Fortunately, neighbors were able to prevent it to spreading to the house until the fire department arrived and put it under control. The Brinias family was away at the time and the garage was empty except for a few toys and similar articles of small value.

Fire of undetermined origin ruined living quarters and a shop full of Indian jewelry, rugs and considerable other merchandise last night at Petty's Curio, 124 W. Bill Williams Ave. Heavy smoke and water damage was done to adjoining buildings, and to apartments above the curio shop.
