Rocky N. Rogers
On Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, Rocky Rogers' soul went to heaven. Rocky was only 55 and was born at Luke Air Force Base, Ariz. With the exception of his stint in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and spending a few years in Raton, N.M., he lived out his life in Arizona.
Rocky was a high-spirited, independent cowboy who knew it was more fun to join the ladies' riding club. He was a talented welder, mechanic and artist of woodcarvings. His charming, generous personality instantly endeared him to children, animals and adults.
He is survived by his parents, Carol and James Rogers Sr., his older brother, James Jr. (Becky), Renee Motl (Nick), his daughter, Michelle, his granddaughter, Gwen (Karl) and Alexandra (Felipe), his nieces, Nate and Aidan, his grand-nephews. Rocky was preceded in death by his younger brother, Mark.
It was Rocky's wish to be cremated and his ashes spread in the same area as his maternal grandfather. No services will be held, but a memorial is planned at a later date.
Rocky shall be sorely missed by all.
