WILLIAMS - The Williams High School Vikings played a well rounded game against Many Farms last Friday with the offensive, defensive and special teams all contributing to their 62-0 win.

Head Coach Jeff Brownlee said the game provided an opportunity for the Vikes' to mix up their offensive strategy.

"What was nice about this, different from when we played Rough Rock, this time we got to run through a lot of offensive plays and we were very successful. Our passing game was the best it's been all year," Brownlee said.

The Vikes jumped out to an early lead, with the score at the end of the first quarter 21-0. They held Many Farms scoreless throughout all four quarters of the game, scoring two more touchdowns in the second quarter and another four touchdowns in the second half.

Darius Brown threw seven completions on 14 attempts for 180 yards and four touchdowns. Tight End Junior Esperanza caught three passes for 95 yards and Jamal Drake caught two passes for 61 yards.

Brownlee said that over the past few weeks the Vikings' running game had begun to sag but that things looked to be back on track against Many Farms.

"We talked to the line and said 'It's time to control the line of scrimmage,'" he said.

Tyler Krombeen ran the ball 11 times for 129 yards scoring two touchdowns. Dallas Grantham carried the ball six times for 31 yards and one touchdown and Darius Brown had seven carries for 73 yards putting 14 points on the board in the process.

The Vikes' final game of the season will be at home against St. Johns Friday at 7 p.m. Brownlee said the team has been looking forward to taking on their rival all season.

"The kids were pretty enthusiastic this week. Not as enthusiastic as they will be this week because we play St. Johns," he said. "When you look at the schedule and see St. Johns as the last game of the season, it's in the back of your mind. But our kids are ready for the task. We've had all year to prepare and we're going to go out and play very hard Friday night."
