Williams Ranger District to sell Christmas tree tags

WILLIAMS, Ariz. - The Kaibab National Forest will sell over-the-counter Christmas tree tags out of the Williams Ranger District office beginning Monday. A total of 200 tags will be available and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis until they are gone.

Pinyon pine and juniper trees are available. Tags are $15 per tree for trees up to 10 feet in height. Tags can be purchased only at the Williams Ranger District office, 742 S. Clover Rd., in Williams. Tags will be sold Mondays through Fridays (excluding holidays) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. until they are gone. The office is not open on weekends.

The Williams Ranger District Christmas tree tags can be purchased with cash or check only. Correct change is appreciated. Customers will be provided a map that shows the two designated Christmas tree cutting areas.

Customers are limited to one tag per household. However, an individual can buy up to five tags for friends and neighbors by providing their names and addresses.
