Route 66 Auto Care — Conoco in full swing

Owners Mike Cowen and Bryant McGee invite the public to come by and visit Route 66 Auto Care - Conoco, located next to Safeway at 801 W. Route 66. Route 66 Auto Care - Conoco is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.

The new business offers a Conoco, Phillips 66, Union 76 gas station, a touch-free carwash, a mini-mart and a vacuum station for cleaning a vehicle's interior. The cleaning area offers a turbo vacuum with spot remover/shampoo and a choice of three fragrances. Other amenities at Route 66 Auto Care - Conoco include a propane filling station, diesel pumps for both light and heavy class vehicles. The business also offers an off-road diesel island for non-highway use (equipment, generators and other items), in which there is a road tax savings.

"We felt there was a need in Williams for a place where locals could buy a line of major brand gas at a competitive price, along with friendly service," said Mike Cowen. "There was also the need for an automatic touch-free carwash where locals can get their vehicles washed without the use of any brushes, pads or anything else touching the surfaces of their vehicle and without the customer having to get out of the vehicle to wash the auto."

A wash, rinse and drying costs $6. Customers can also opt for the "full treatment" for $12, which includes an under-vehicle "flush," rocker panels, tires and wheels. The full treatment washes the vehicle twice, according to Cowen, and also applies a Durashield Armor protective coat.

"Even though our business hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, we plan on offering our friendly service on the gasoline islands and pumping propance daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays," Cowen said. "Our goal is to provide friendly service and quality products to locals at a competitive price. Most of all we would like to acknowledge and thank those working with us to make everything happen. These individuals include Sandy Forbis, Rosie Espinoza, Mac McGee, Randi Ingram, Jaci McNelly, Dee Dee Mahan and Erin McNelly."
