Crews with the Youth Conservation Crews (YCC) place signs in the Ash Fork area to discourage vandals from damaging archaeological sites in the vicinity. Thieves recently made off with a slab of stone in the area that contained ancient petroglyphs. Law enforcement officials are currently investigating the theft. The missing panel is estimated to be thousands of years old. YCC crews placed signs at roughly 20 sites in the area, as well as other archaeological locations.
