Eat, shop and sleep in Tusayan, Grand Canyon and Williams

During your visit to Tusayan, Grand Canyon and Williams, it is likely that you will soon find that there is not enough time in the day to see and do all you would like. Camping

• Camper Village - Located one mile before the South entrance to the National Park. Shuttle service, playground, teepees, tent camping, showers. Full hook ups. Call toll-free 1-877-638-2887 for reservations and information. Across from IMAX.

• Desert View Campground - Located near east entrance, 25 miles from Grand Canyon Village. Self-registration; first-come, first-served.

• Mather Campground - Campsites operated by the National Park Service (no hookups). Reservations may be made through SPHERICS by calling 1-800-365-2267. Check at the campground entrance for daily campsite availability and reservation details.

• Ten-X Campground - Forest Service campground two miles south of Tusayan in Kaibab National Forest. Closed for winter on Sept. 30. Opens again April 1, if weather permits. Phone: 928-638-2443.

• Trailer Village - Trailer sites with hookups are located next to Mather Campground. Campers may register at the entrance to Trailer Village.

Dining

• Arizona Room - On the rim next to Bright Angel Lodge. Open daily for lunch and dinner.

• Bright Angel Restaurant - Located in Bright Angel Lodge. Open daily 6:30 a.m.-10 p.m.

• Bright Angel Fountain - Located at the Bright Angel Lodge on the rim. Ice cream and snacks. Closed during off-season.

• El Tovar Dining Room - View of the Canyon. Open daily for breakfast, 6:30-11 a.m.; lunch, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.; dinner, 5-10 p.m. For dinner reservations, call 928-638-2631. Lounge.

• Jennifer's Bakery, Coffee House and Hi-Speed Internet Cafe - Open daily at 7 a.m. Fresh-baked goods, sandwiches, omelettes cooked to order. 928-638-3433. Located on Rte. 64 in Tusayan, in Grand Canyon Village Shops, across from the IMAX. www.grandcanyonactivities.com.

• Maswik Cafeteria - Located in Maswik Lodge at the west end of the village. Open 6 a.m.-10 p.m. daily. Sports lounge open Monday-Friday, 5 p.m.-midnight; Saturday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-midnight.

• Yavapai Cafeteria - Located in Market Plaza shopping area. Open daily, 6:30 a.m.-10 p.m.; hours may fluctuate seasonally.
