Theft of signs a selfish act
To the editor:
I'm wondering if the person or persons - children or most likely adults - that removed the two signs with elk on them placed on Highway 64 by ADOT, have any conception of what they've done.
Don't you realize these signs were placed on Highway 64 for a purpose, to warn motorists of the hazard of elk all over the highway at night, and to possibly save someone a serious wreck or possibly from death?
They were not placed there for some macho man or immature person that wants an elk sign in their yard. I wonder how you'll feel if someone is killed or injured because of your selfishness?

Helpful book available at the local library
To the editor:
Recently a copy of Public Citizens' "Worst Pills Best Pills" was donated to the Williams Public Library. It is a thick reference book that analyzes 538 drugs you should not use and safer alternatives.
Many of us take prescription medicines. As we age, our tolerance to these drugs changes. Often we have several prescriptions that will not work well together.
"Worst Pills Best Pills" is a handy guide that will allow us to have better conversations with our doctors. The more we know about the adverse effects and combinations of medicines and aging the quicker we can catch problems before they become serious.
This book was donated to the library after several friends found out they were taking harmful combinations of drugs. "Worst Pills Best Pills" may help more local residents inform themselves about their prescriptions.
