Proposed action nearly ready for forest roads
FS officials predict a mid-August completion date for local forest road update
Officials with the U.S. Forest Service predict a mid-August appearance for their proposed action plan, the second step in the Kaibab National Forest's implementation of the Travel Management Rule (TMR) within the Williams Ranger District. Forest Service planners said they were analyzing the few remaining comments as of July 20 and could be complete by as early as this week, though public viewings are still a few weeks away. Ariel Leonard, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Planner, said a number of checks would need to be completed prior to the proposal's public appearance.
