Slab Crabs win again!
The Williams High School Slab Crabs savor victory Nov. 4 at Mesa High School after winning a preliminary competition for the state battle bot championship. The group will compete again in February at Mesa High School for the state championship. In March, the Slab Crabs were named state champions and traveled to Miami, Fla. in April to compete for the national title. On Nov. 4, the Slab Crabs came home with two trophies ‹ both first place ‹ in the 15-pound battle bot division and balloon popper kit robot. The group will be selling calendars to raise funds to travel to competitions. Those wishing to donate monies to the team can do so through the state school tax credit donation program
