Williams is on the ball
Williams AYSO soccer teams played in Flagstaff and Grand Canyon again on Aug. 5. There are two more weekends of games in Flagstaff before the season will end.
The U6 boys team, the Fireballs, were away at Grand Canyon to play the Canyon Grasshoppers and tied the game at 4. Frankie Kramer and David Lazano both scored two goals each for the Fireballs.
The U10 co-ed Blue Tigers were up against the Green Machines in Flagstaff but lost with a score of 3-1. Joseph Flores scored the lone goal for the Tigers.
The undefeated U12 co-ed Jokers were up against the Flagstaff Lemonlimes. They squeezed out a 2-2 tie with Aidan Grantham and Danielle DeClermont each scoring a Jokers goal.
A red-hot Aug. 5 morning game against the Flagstaff Sharks did not slow down the U6 Red Rockets. Blazing down the field were Caleb Burlington, Raven Christiansen and Hunter Dearden using their rocket speed to steal the ball.
Cole Cameron was sizzling, scoring multiple goals for the Rockets, while Kai Grumbine and Max Schramm also blasted in some points.
The next two games will be played in Flagstaff and that will be the end of the season for Williams AYSO until next summer, so look for the Williams teams to be back in action in 2007 with some home games on the schedule.
Scores for other teams were unavailable at press time.
