Say 'Yes' to a bright future
Williams is alive and well in 2005. As our population continues to increase, it's time to say 'Yes' to our future. Your help is needed Tuesday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the Holiday Inn. We need you to say 'Yes' at the polls.
As our community continues to grow at an accelerated pace, the need to improve our infrastructure continues to grow. The Williams City Council has made great strides in preparing for growth while developing a realistic plan to complete the required infrastructure that will be needed in the near future.
A top priority is a new wastewater treatment plant. A new wastewater plant must be constructed. Phase II of the water treatment plant must also be completed. Phase I added a new aeration basin, new chemical feed building and new sedimentation basin. Phase II will increase the plant capacity from 1 million gallons per day to 1.5 million gallons daily.
How will we pay for this? The city will use revenues from the water and wastewater system, revenue from the electric system and city excise and sales taxes to repay these bonds.
Your 'Yes' vote will not increase property taxes. Your vote will push Williams into the future. Imagine a community with basic infrastructure such as water and wastewater systems that not only comply with all modern standards, but also exceed the standards. Your 'Yes' vote will keep us moving forward to a brighter future. Say 'Yes' to an improved Williams. Vote on Tuesday.
