Lady Vikes' season ends
The third-place Williams High School Lady Vikings varsity volleyball team came home over the weekend after losing in the first round of state playoffs to Tombstone.
Despite being sent home, Head Coach Ken Edes is delighted the girls went as far as they did.
"They all did really well ‹ our offense was exceptional," Edes said.
Score books and subsequent game details were unavailable at press time, however. Catch next week's edition for full details.
The WHS fall sports awards banquet is scheduled for Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. in the WHS cafeteria. Fall sports teams will be honored and meanwhile, the WHS athletic department has issued its first draft of the 2005 Vikings/Lady Vikings basketball game schedule. Both teams get their first chance on the court ‹ scrimmage style ‹ against Mayer in Williams Nov. 18.
