Flag proves tough opponent
Williams AYSO ‹ American Youth Soccer Organization ‹ teams continue to battle it out with Flagstaff squads.
Over this past weekend, the U6 girls Wild Horses lost to the Flagstaff Blue Dolphins. Taya Mortensen scored the loan goal. The U8 girls Orange Tigers won their game against the Flagstaff Dolphins with a score of 3-1. Teddy Yazzie scored two goals and Tori Walters netted one.
Meanwhile, the U8 boys Venoms lost to their Flagstaff opponent, the Yellow Jaguars, with a score of 2-5. Christian Ramierz scored the two goals for the Venoms. The U12 girls team, the Dynamites, lost to their opponent of a score of 0-7, and the U12 boys Terminators played an awesome game against the Flagstaff Flames, but lost 2-3. Ivan Ruiz racked up two goals for the Terminators.
On Saturday, the teams will all play in Flagstaff, but will be back at home on July 30 and Aug. 8.
