Falcons end season happy
The Williams Middle School Lady Falcons A and B basketball teams are celebrating the end of their season in winning style. At their last weekend tournament round on Dec. 10, both teams took home the first place spot.
Coach Deniz Chavez says the B team had close games, but was able to keep the opponents from scoring the win. They beat Seligman 29-15, Grand Canyon 16 11, and Parks 14 12 to take first.
The Lady Falcons A team took first by winning against Ash Fork 48 16 and Seligman 39 12.
"I'm really proud of all the improvements they made throughout the season," Chavez said. "It was great to see how much they've come along in just six weeks ‹ I'm very proud of them."
