The “Williams Beat” goes on with photos from our readers<br>

To have your photo considered for the “Williams Beat,” you must bring it or mail it to our office no later than noon on Monday. We do have the ability to scan in an existing photograph. Photographs can also be e-mailed to us at: editorial@williamsnews.com. Photos can be mailed to P.O. Box 667, Williams, AZ 86046. Our office is located at 118 S. Third St.

Your photo will be used at our discretion. Any photos in poor taste or deemed offensive to our readers in any way will not be used. Please include information relevant to the photo. Unfortunately, we are unable to compensate you for your photo. The only compensation we can offer is a photo credit along with the opportunity to win a prize in a drawing to be held every six months. An added bonus to you is seeing your memory in print along with your name. We can’t wait to see what you are doing.

In the next few weeks, a survey for our readers will be compiled and distributed to the community in the form of an insert in the News. We want to know what type of stories you enjoy reading and features you anticipate in our publication weekly. We also want to discover what you don’t like about our paper. Do you have an idea or two that you are willing to share with us? By completing the survey, you will have an opportunity to voice your opinions and ideas. The results of the reader surveys will be tabulated and revealed in a future edition of the News. We look forward to seeing what you want to read and meeting your needs.

Let’s have fun in 2004. With your help, we will continue to improve our publication and coverage of our area. In addition to our annual guess the Super Bowl score contest and our Valentine’s Day love story/poetry contest, we hope to offer even more contests with prizes for you this year. Let’s prove that a newspaper can be a venue that offers not only coverage of local government and school entities, but good old-fashioned fun as well.
