GC VILLAGE — Local youth interested in playing Little League, Junior League or Senior League baseball will have one final chance to register for the coming season Saturday morning during the Rotary Club’s annual Easter egg hunt.
There's one more Grand Canyon Little League registration session scheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m., at the Rotary Club's Easter Egg Hunt on the school athletic fields.
Ken Hunter, who has been organizing the teams, said there was a poor turnout for signups the first time around. Hunter said there are now coaches for all teams, but he urges any local kids who would like to play to sign up.
Players should bring a photo copy of a certified birth certificate along with $40 for the registration fee.
The three levels of youth baseball now registering:
o Little League — Baseball for boys and girls ages 9-12 (as of Aug. 1, 2002). This is a competitive team that practices at Grand Canyon and plays all games in Williams.
