Crews from a number of different agencies worked dilligently to bring the Williams Christmas tree into town Nov. 17. Agencies involved in the monumental task included the Coconino County Sherrif's Office, employees of the Grand Canyon Railway, Arizona Public Service, DPS officers, crews with the city of Williams and members of the Williams Police Department. The owners of Pine Country Restaurant provided refreshments for crews. The tree lighting ceremony is scheduled to begin Nov. 28 at 6 p.m. Entertainment for the beloved Magic of Christmas celebration is slated to begin that afternoon at 4:30 p.m. along Route 66.
