The Williams Planning and Zoning Commission will meet to discuss the Williams General Plan at 7 p.m. July 22 in the council chambers, 113 S. First St. Rick Counts of Counts Planning will present preliminary findings about the seven plan elements and the implementation program during the meeting. Chamber mixer Friday to benefit Back to School Resource fair
The Williams-Grand Canyon Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will put on a mixer Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. The mixer will benefit the Back to School Resource Fair, which will take place August 3 at Williams Elementary-Middle School.
The mixer will be at the Babbitt-Polson Community Stage in the Williams-Grand Canyon Chamber of Commerce parking lot, 200 W. Railroad Ave. A barbecue will take place and raffle prizes will be available.
Organizers encourage attendees to bring school supplies and/or backpacks to the mixer. The supplies will go to local youth.
Organizers will also hand out Fourth of July parade awards at the mixer.
Jim Winbourn Property Maintenance will sponsor the event and Northland Hospice and Palliative Care will co-sponsor the event.

Fall sports physicals available at Williams North Country Healthcare Center
Physicals are available at North Country HealthCare in Williams July 30 and Aug. 2. Appointments are necessary.
The first day of football practice for high school and middle school is Aug. 5.
The Williams Middle School Falcons will meet at 3 p.m. at the ramada for a parents meeting. Players must have a signed physical form to practice.

Shooting range open Saturdays
The Williams Sportsman's Club (WSC) will have the city shooting range open for members shooting and target practice Saturdays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. as staffing and weather allows. The club's website, www.williamssportsmansclub.org, lists range closures, weekday openings, extended hours and special events. A Range Safety Officer (RSO) will be present to coordinate activities. Free swim days on tap at Aquatic Center
The Williams Aquatic Center is offering three more free swim days this summer, thanks to several sponsors. The Friends of the Williams Aquatic Center sponsored a free swim day for the first day of the season on May 25. The Williams Rotary Club, Bearizona Wildlife Park and the Grand Canyon Railway sponsored a free swim day on July 4.

Williams Kiwanis Route 66 Swap Meet
The Williams Kiwanis Swap Meet is open every weekend through October. The Kiwanis Club invites all vendors to participate including antiques and arts and crafts vendors. The club also welcomes church fundraisers and garage sales at the meet. Vendor spots are $10 per day or $25 for the weekend. The swap meet takes place on West Route 66 at the west end of town.
