St. Johns' Episcopal-Lutheran Church
Last Sunday's celebration of our 100th church anniversary went very well. Bishop Kirk Smith presided over the morning service. Susan Kerley was confirmed and granted membership; Chris Novesal was granted membership. Special music was also part of the service by two outside musicans. Following the morning service, all participated in a luncheon celebration dinner. At 2 p.m., a special community music celebration was held followed by a reception in Walker Hall. The music director was John Taylor of Flagstaff, one of our church musicians.
All members of the community are invited to participate in our annual "Dia de los Nuertos." Anyone who wishes can put up a small altar in honor of a loved one in our sanctuary. This celebration will begin on Oct. 29 and end on All Saint's Day on Nov. 4. If you wish to participate, please call the church and leave a message.
