The Williams Highs School (WHS) Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) put on its annual Induction Ceremony and dinner for NHS members and families Dec. 4, at Doc Holliday's. NHS sponsor Ann Wells and WHS Principal Tristan Heisley played host to the event. Following welcome remarks and dinner, current members Colton Grantham, president; Devin McNelly, vice-president; April Zicopoulos secretary; Zach Tamburello, treasurer; Jessie Durnez, Miranda Mann, Chanell MacRae, Ximena Hernandez and Breanna Chester directed the candlelit induction ceremony. New members are Kaitlyn White, Stephanie Wamble, Miranda Baldosky, and Mikayla Balbuena. To be considered for membership, juniors and seniors must have a 3.5 cumulative grade point average. Then they must go through a selection process where a board of five faculty members vote for candidates membership based on leadership qualities, service and character.
