Find unique gifts created by several different artists at The Open Studios.

The studio features oil and watercolor paintings, quilts, crocheted jewelry, "rejuvenated" jewelry (created using pieces from broken jewelry), quilted cosmetic and tote bags, painted glass, pet portraits, bowls and cutting boards and more. Handmade ornaments displayed on a Christmas tree will also be for sale.

The studio has recently expanded into some space next door.

"We've kind of divided the artists' work up instead of keeping everybody's work together in one section," said owner Helen Gorney. "We think it makes it a little more interesting."

For an early holiday gift, space is still available in local photographer Dennis Shirley's photography class on Friday.

Get your shopping done on Dec. 1 during the Chamber's open house event, when The Open Studios will be serving homemade cookies and iced tea from noon to 6 p.m.

Then from 6 to 9 p.m., The Open Studios will host "Guys Night Out." Men are invited to enjoy beer, hot wings and desserts while they shop.

"We'll help them choose gifts for the special lady in their life," Gorney said.

The Open Studios is at 106 S. Ninth St. More information is available at (928) 635-4397.
