Letter: SAVE-Meant to Rescue thanks Williams community

To the editor:

I personally would like to take this time to send out a tremendously huge thank you to all the local businesses in Williams, Grand Canyon, Tusayan, and the people of this community for all the constant support of SAVE Meant to Rescue dog organization.

We have come a long way from having nothing to breaking ground this spring if all goes well.

This project is a one-of-a-kind in Williams and nothing like this has ever been done. We are going to build a building from scratch from all the pennies to house our abandoned dogs (for whatever reason) and try to keep them out of the Flagstaff pound. We won't be able to save all we know but the ones we do will be grateful. It still amazes me how many people do not know of this project. We are a 501 3 c. We send a thank you note and a receipt for your tax records for all donations.

Keep your money local for your local animals. This money stays in Williams, not some huge general fund. It is keeping money in Williams. The volunteers of the dog group cannot thank this community enough. So please keep us in mind all year. Don't get tired of us.

Watch for our neat Valentine's Day event coming Feb. 8. And again, thank you, thank you.

Robynn Smith Eckel

Founder, SAVE Meant to Rescue
