Well, once again there was an event in Williams that very few turned out for.
I'm speaking of the professional wrestling matches that took place at the high school gym on Friday June 7. Only a few people showed up. This was a very entertaining event and Williams should have packed the gym.
And now people will sit around and gripe about there being nothing to do in town.
The First Baptist Church brought in a speaker a few weeks back. That was a free event. Johnny Clary, who was at one time the Imperial Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan was speaking at the gym telling his life story. Once again there were only a handful of people. The rest of you missed a real blessing.
I know from personal experience how hard it is to get people out for an event in Williams, but come on people, get involved in your community and try to help the young people. Read the local paper and find out what is going on in town. You can make a difference.
