Obituary: Betty P. Robinson

Betty P. (Beymer) Robinson, 84, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012 at home in Williams, Ariz.

She was born in Blackford County, Ind., daughter of Jess and Mabel Beymer. Betty married Richard G. (Dick) Robinson in October, 1945. Dick and Betty moved to Arizona in 1972.

Betty worked at Tulox Plastics in Marion, Ind. for several years and then moved to Arizona where she worked for the Environmental Services and later on switchboard at Phoenix Baptist Hospital until her retirement in 2008. Betty was Employee of the Year prior to her retirement and was later honored for her many years of service to the hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R. G. Robinson, and surviving are two daughters, Carol (Larry) Gutshall, Williams, Ariz. and Susan Jones, Ada, Ohio; and two sons, Richard E. Robinson (Rick), Phoenix, Ariz., and Larry G. Robinson (Donnetta), Mishawaka, Ind.

Also surviving are three sisters, Lucille (Bob) Beavans, Jeanette (Dick) Barsha, Janet (Burlin) Beavans, and one brother Richard (Susie) Beymer; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 7, 2012 at First Baptist Church, Williams, Ariz. with Pastor David Gutshall officiating. Viewing will be at 10 a.m. with services to follow at 11 a.m. A Memorial Service is being planned for later in October in Gas City, Ind. Arrangements are being made through Novel Owens Mortuary.
