The Williams Police Department (WPD) answered the following calls for service (among others) -

• Officers dealt with numerous snow issues, slide offs, stranded motorists and parking issues;

• Officers responded to a suspicious person on Railroad Avenue;

• Officers responded to an alarm on Golden Meadows Trail;

• Officers responded to an employee issue of business on Grand Canyon Boulevard;

• Officers responded to an alarm on Seventh Street;

• Officers assisted the Fire Department with an oven fire on Route 66;

• Officers assisted Lifeline at several locations;

• Officers dealt with a civil matter at a local hotel;

• Officers responded to a welfare check at a local hotel;

• Officers responded to a domestic disturbance on Grant Avenue. The dispute was verbal only and officers separated the people;

• Officers responded to a fight on First Street. The fight was verbal only and the subjects involved did not want to prosecute;

• Officers dealt with snowy and icy road issues;

• Officers responded to a noise complaint on Fulton Avenue;

• Officers responded to a panic alarm on Route 66;

• Officers investigated a non-injury accident on Railroad Avenue;

• Officers dealt with trash cans blowing in the streets because of wind;

• Officers answered alarm calls because of wind;

• Officers responded to intoxicated men causing issues on Route 66. Officers took a tourist back to his hotel;

• Officers took a report of a truck that brought mud onto the road on Pine Street. City crews cleaned up the mud;

• Officers conducted a welfare check on Fulton Avenue;

• Officers took a report of missing property. The owner found the property that was misplaced;

• Officers took a private property accident at a local hotel;

• Officers dealt with juvenile issue on Sixth Street;

• Officers issued 0 citations and gave out 9 warnings.

Anyone with any information is urged to call the WPD at (928) 635-4461. Anonymous tips can be left at any time at (928) 635-5992. Those who want to report a crime while remaining anonymous can also call Silent Witness at (928) 774-6111 or (877) 29-CRIME. Silent Witness offers rewards of as much as $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
