The Williams Police Department (WPD) answered the following calls for service (among others) -

• Officers responded to a possible drunk driver on Grant Ave. and found the vehicle empty;

• Officers took a report of possible elder abuse;

• Officers took a report of possible fraud;

• Officers assisted Lifeline at various locations;

• Officers responded to an alarm on Ninth St.;

• Officers arrested a man for criminal damage during a domestic call on Sixth St.;

• Officers took a harassment report on Fulton Ave.;

• Officers took a suspicious activity report on Frank Way;

• Officers took a fraud report on Route 66;

• Officers responded to a domestic call at a local hotel but nobody was at the location;

• Officers took a report of identity theft;

• Officers took a report of lost property on Hwy 64 near Kaibab Ave.;

• Officers took a criminal damage report on Hereford Ave.;

• Officers dealt with a mental health issue after a report of suspicious activity on Edison Ave.;

• Officers identified a drunk man who ran from officers and was causing a disturbance on Seventh Ave.;

• Officers responded to a dog call on Grant Ave.;

• Officers investigated a non-injury accident caused by a deer versus a vehicle on Rodeo Road and Route 66;

• Officers dealt with kids smashing pumpkins in streets throughout the city;

• Officers arrested a woman for assault during a domestic call on Rodeo Road;

• Officers dealt with a civil matter on Seventh St.;

• Officers dealt with a child custody issue on Seventh St.;

• County officers found a missing hunter after he was reported missing;

• Officers dealt with a civil matter at a local hotel;

• Officers assisted the Department of Public Safety with an arrest for a subject who was driving under the influence;

• Officers responded to a 4-wheeler speeding on Homestead Ave.; and

• Officers issued five citations and gave out 14 warnings.

Anyone with any information is urged to call the WPD at (928) 635-4461. Anonymous tips can be left at any time at (928) 635-5992. Those who want to report a crime while remaining anonymous, can also call Silent Witness at (928) 774-6111 or (877) 29-CRIME. Silent Witness offers rewards of as much as $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
