The Williams Police Department (WPD) answered the following calls for service -

• Officers responded to a disturbance on Highland Meadows and arrested a man for disorderly conduct and criminal damage;

• Officers found kids toilet papering cars on Third St. and made the kids clean up the mess;

• Officers responded to an assault on Third St. and Route 66 but both suspects were gone when they arrived;

• Officers took a report of suspicious activity on First St.;

• Officers responded to people camping inside the city limits on FS124C;

• Officers responded to a private property accident at a local hotel;

• Officers dealt with two kids in possession of tobacco on Route 66;

• Officers responded to loud music coming from a car on Edison Ave.;

• Officers assisted Lifeline on Fifth St.;

• Officers responded to a local store when a clerk refused to sell alcohol to an intoxicated man. Officers removed the intoxicated man from the store;

• Officers assisted Lifeline on Homestead Road;

• Officers dealt with a custody issue on Fourth St.;

• Officers responded to people camping in the city next to I-40 at Homestead Road;

• Officers responded to a trespasser on Grand Canyon Blvd. and removed the person;

• Officers assisted DPS with a DUI arrest on I-40;

• Officers assisted Lifeline on Lewis St.;

• Officers responded to a camper on Frank Way and removed the camper;

• Officers responded to suspicious activity on Locust and Edison Ave.;

• Officers took complaints about speeders on Fourth St., Franklin Ave. and Railroad Ave.;

• Officers responded to an intoxicated person causing a disturbance at a local restaurant but the person was gone when the officers arrived;

• Officers responded to campers next to Lake Ellen;

• Officers took a report of a private property accident at a local hotel;

• Officers dealt with a custody issue on Route 66;

• Officers conducted a civil stand by on Grant Ave.;

• Officers responded to several dog calls;

• Officers assisted Lifeline at several locations;

• Officers responded to a domestic disturbanceon Grant Ave. and arrested a man for assault;

• Officers responded to suspicious activity on the golf course;

• Officers responded to reports of an overdue golfer at Elephant Rocks;

• Officers responded to the smell of marijuana on First St.; and

• Officers issued 5 citations and gave out 17 warnings.

Anyone with any information is urged to call the WPD at (928) 635-4461. Anonymous tips can be left at any time at (928) 635-5992. Those who want to report a crime while remaining anonymous, can also call Silent Witness at (928) 774-6111 or (877) 29-CRIME. Silent Witness offers rewards of as much as $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
