The Williams Police Department (WPD) answered the following calls for service -

• Officers responded to a mental health disturbance on Grant Ave.;

• Officers took a theft report on Edison Ave.;

• Officers responded to a verbal argument and separated the parties on Sixth St.;

• Officers cleared a house on Edison Ave. after reports that a wanted felony suspect was at the house, the suspect was not found;

• Officers tagged a vehicle that was reported as not running on Third St.;

• Officers assisted Lifeline on Lewis Ave.;

• Officers responded to a loose dog on Wells Fargo Ave.;

• Officers investigated a non-injury accident on Fourth St. and Route 66;

• Officers took a report of purse theft on Third St. and Route 66;

• Officers conducted school zone enforcement;

• Officers investigated a non-injury accident on First St.;

• Officers took a report for lost property on Route 66, the property was found later;

• Officers responded to an alarm on Rodeo Road;

• Officers took a report of suspicious activity on Second St.;

• Officers dealt with a transient on Route 66;

• Officers responded to a natural death with Hospice at the scene on Grant Ave;

• Officers took a report of credit card theft;

• Officers closed a door at the golf course;

• Officers arrested a woman for driving with a suspended license on Rodeo Road;

• Officers investigated a private property accident on Grant Ave.;

• Officers responded to a missing person on Homestead Ave., the person returned home;

• Officers responded to suspicious activity at Buckskinner Park;

• Officers responded to a disturbance at Lost Canyon;

• Officers responded to an open door at a vacant home on Edison Ave.;

• Officers responded to a trespassing disturbance on Locust St.;

• Officers conducted a welfare check on Quarterhorse Ave.;

• Officers responded to suspicious activity on Ponderosa Loop;

• Officers responded to a disturbance and separated the parties on Grand Canyon Blvd.;

• Officers responded to several dog calls;

• Officers assisted Lifeline at several locations;

• Officers responded to loud music on First St. and Route 66;

• Officers responded to

a tree hit by lightning on Third St. and on Sheridan Ave.;

• Officers responded to illegal parking at the bus area on Route 66;

• Officers issued 14 citations and gave out 26 warnings.

Anyone with any information is urged to call the WPD at (928) 635-4461. Anonymous tips can be left at any time at (928) 635-5992. Those who want to report a crime while remaining anonymous, can also call Silent Witness at (928) 774-6111 or (877) 29-CRIME. Silent Witness offers rewards of as much as $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
