Williams 911: Week of Oct. 3, 2012
Williams-Grand Canyon News

House Bill 2154 is now in effect. HB 2154 requires children between the ages of 5-8 who are not taller than 4'9" to be properly restrained in a child booster seat. Peace officers can make a traffic stop for this violation and violators will receive a civil penalty of $50.

Booster seats are designed to guide lap belts across upper thighs and shoulder belts across the chest. A booster seat raises children up so the safety belts fit correctly.

Assure your booster seat is in compliance with HB 2154 by contacting the Williams Police Department. Free classes for the general public are held monthly at the Williams Police Department. English classes are offered 4-6 p.m. and Spanish 6-8 p.m. The classes will be offered Oct. 10, Nov. 14 and Dec. 12. You must call (928) 635-4461 to register prior to the class.
